​I started working on this piece with no intent other than to write something fun for band -- as I started working on it, the vision of a loud mechanical being striding over the countryside came into my mind, and from that initial vision came Big Honkin' Robot! – the only piece I’ve written so far with the tempo marking YAAAAAH!
