"Laudate, Confitemini" was commissioned and premiered by the choir of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Austin, Texas, Douglass M. Green, director.

Laudate, Confitemini
Praise the Lord, all you nations;
laud him, all you peoples.
For his loving-kindness toward us is great,
and the faithfulness of the Lord endures for ever.
Hallelujah!
I called to the Lord in my distress;
the Lord answered by setting me free.
The Lord is my strength and my song,
and he has become my salvation,
There is a sound of exulting
in the tents of the righteous:
"The right hand of God has triumphed!
the right hand of the Lord is exalted!"
I shall not die, but live,
and declare the works of the Lord.
The stone which the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone.
This is the Lord's doing,
and it is marvelous in our eyes.
Hosanna, Lord!

—Ps. 117; 118: 5, 14-17, 22-23, 25, alt.
